Bowhunting
ACT Field and 3D Archers
Field Archery can be likened to "Golf with a Bow", the principles and ideas
are similar. There are 20 targets (including 3D targets) of varying sizes,
set in bushland at distances from 5m to 50m (distance is not marked). A
normal shoot comprises two rounds of the course, the first being shot with
a maximum of three arrows per target (only first scoring arrow counts) and
the second round only one arrow is allowed.
Objectives
The objectives of the Club are to introduce people to the sport of field
archery, promote competition between other clubs in N.S.W. and provide a
social atmosphere for the whole family.
Shoot Details
Club shoots are held in bushland near Point Hut Crossing on the last
Sunday in every month commencing at 9.30am and finish approximately 2.00pm.
Toilet facilities are provided on the course. Club equipment is available
for those wishing to try the sport. The Club can also provide advice on the
type of equipment required to suit the shooters needs.
Membership
The cost of membership for the year is $15 adults, $30 family plus
membership of the Tuggeranong Valley Rugby Union Club.
Shoot Fees
At each shoot a fee is charged to cover the costs of targets and backing
material, and are $5 single, $10 family.
Club Meetings
Club meetings are held on the course before each end of month shoot.
